Dr. Snable was born and raised in northern California and always had a passion for science and animals- both companion and wildlife. He pursued these interests and earned a bachelor’s degree from Yale University in 2003, majoring in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology.
Dr. Snable graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine with High Honors in 2008. He received his Certificate of Clinical Medicine and Surgery from the University of Florida.
After working in a corporate veterinary practice for nearly four years, he realized that his true passion was in forming lasting bonds with pets and families, becoming a partner in decision-making and providing care. This ability to relate to clients has resulted in a loyal following and a reputation as a truly compassionate veterinarian.
Positive feedback from clients and friends encouraged him start a housecall practice where more focus can be placed on the veterinarian/client/patient relationship. This allows him to devote more time to each patient and more freedom in practicing medicine. Dr. Snable feels that this is essential to providing high quality services tailored to each individual patient’s needs.
Andrea has worked in the veterinary field for over 14 years, while she and Dr. Snable have worked together since 2009. She is very skilled with handling even the most aggressive cats and her warm personality makes the euthanasia process a little easier for families making the heart breaking decision.
With animals and the outdoors as her passion she is a NAVTA certified AVA (Approved Veterinary Assistant) and has an Associates degree in Natural Sciences. She is currently studying to become a licensed RVT. Andrea enjoys gardening, yoga, fishing and long walks on the beach with their dogs. She and Dr. Snable married January 5th, 2014 and live together in Ventura. They are expecting a baby girl in June 2017.
